I’ve been trying to think of ideas for relatively inexpensive favors for our wedding in June. I have several wedding magazines with some really cute things, but they are super expensive and not especially personal. Plus, I was hoping that I could incorporate something handmade into the wedding. After thinking about it for a while, it finally occured to me to knit some pretty little flower corsages for the ladies! It’s a small wedding with only 50 or so people-about half of whom are ladies. Not bad. If I start now, I could make a bunch of pretty great flower pins. Not to mention, I just taught my mom to knit and I can employ her services! I found this great book called 100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet. Talk about lovely designs! In addition to corsages, I could knit some long stem flowers to mix in with the centerpieces (vintage tins with wildflowers). I just think it would be the perfect way to pull in some personal elements, and to share my new found skills with my friends and family. Some ideas I’ve found.
