Over the Halloween weekend, we visited some close friends in Aliso Viejo, CA for a Halloween party. After running around and collecting things we needed for the party, I slipped out with my lifelong friend (and sister knitter) and headed to her LYS, Yarn Lady. As we pulled up to the storefront, I could tell that this was going to be a very large shop. ( Here in Las Vegas, we only have two LYS that are relatively small, yet charming to boot.) The store boasted large glass windows fully stocked with mannequins , trunks overflowing with skeins of Bella Rae Mega, and cozy knitted projects draped luxuriously. When you walk in, you are greeted by friendly faces of several women knitting around three large, antiques tables. There are barrels and baskets of beautiful yarn, shelves stocked with colorful skeins of all kinds of fiber. Everything is organized and obviously cared for. I absolutely recommend stopping by to check out this gem in Laguna Hills. Totally worth the visit!
While I was there, I picked up some adorable kit patterns and some Suri Merino from Blu Sky to knit my Francisca Hat. What I loved about the kit patterns was that each came with an aborable stitch marker!
